The Thalia Thumpers and Riptides Square Dance Clubs will be hosting a fun evening of dance at the Open House Dance on September 10, 2011, at Point of View Elementary School, in Virginia Beach. Dancing begins at 7:30. No Square Dancing experience is necessary and there is no charge for this event.

Crown Record recording artists and Square Dance Callers, Bob and Matt Worley, will show the new dancers the steps, and experienced dancers will be on hand to help guide the way.

The evening will also feature demonstrations of regular club level square dancing by the more experienced dancers.  Dancing is open to everyone from 10 to 100, and the fun starts at 7:30PM. Singles, couples, and families are all invited out to the Open House

Point of View Elementary School is located at 5400 Parliament Drive Virginia Beach, VA 23462

The Thalia Thumpers and Riptides Square and Round Dance Clubs are a non-profit clubs that have been active in Virginia Beach for almost 50 years.

The Thumpers dance at the Point of View Elementary School every 2nd and 4th Saturday and the Riptides dance at Bayside Presbyterian Church on the 1st Fridays of the month.
